Roy also can play effectively as a long stick midfielder and close defenseman. Roy will be majoring in Sports Management.
"I visited Mount Saint Mary's in January and loved the campus. The school is a great fit because I come from a devout Catholic family, Coach Tom Gravante was great and I can learn a lot from him both on and off the field, the players were very friendly and the campus was beautiful."
"Playing for FCA-North at the Gait Cup last summer got me noticed by a bunch of college coaches and really increased my confidence to play at the next level. Espcially since my high school team is very new, very rural, and not very well known, even in Oregon."
It really came down to two great schools in the end, Mount Saint Mary's and the College of Mount Saint Joseph. Both schools have great Catholic traditions, great academics, both had my major, strong athletics and great campus communities. I wanted to play at the D1 level and Coach Gravante and Mount Saint Mary's gave me that opportunity."
